The booster pack "Mega Symphonia" is part of the new Japanese MEGA series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game and was released in Japan on August 1, 2025. Together with "Mega Brave," it forms the first chapter of the new Japanese MEGA series.
The centerpiece of the set is Mega Gardevoir ex, which is represented in several rarity levels – including Double Rare, Secret Rare, Special Illustration Rare, and the newly introduced Mega Ultra Rare in a golden version.
The central mechanic is the revamped Mega Evolution, originally introduced in the XY era. Mega Evolutions appear here as Pokémon-ex with a black and yellow EX symbol and are among the series' most powerful gameplay highlights.
In addition to Mega Gardevoir ex, the set includes other Mega Evolutions such as Mega Latias ex and Mega Kangaskhan ex. The expansion is complemented by strategically relevant Supporter cards like "Acerola's Mischief" and "Heiko's Compassion."
